# Lonestar Finance Group > Lonestar Finance Group is a virtual F&I (finance & insurance) department for trailer dealerships in the United States. We run the whole finance process remotely — customer contact, multi-lender submissions, deal structuring, protection products, digital contracting and funding — so the dealer's sales team stays on the lot selling trailers. Dealers upload three documents; Lonestar does the rest. We are not a lender and not a broker; we are the dealership's backend service provider, handling everything from customer contact to funding. ### The problem for trailer dealers Most trailer dealers don't have a structured finance process. Salespeople spend hours submitting applications, chasing lender responses and trying to present products — time that should go to selling trailers. - Process bottleneck: without a dedicated finance department, every financed deal slows down. - Inconsistent process: no structured way to offer protection products means missed revenue and an uneven customer experience. - Sales team distracted: hours on lender paperwork are hours not spent closing the next deal. - Slow approvals lose deals: customers go cold when approvals take days. ### Who does what Dealership (3 steps): upload the retail invoice, upload the manufacturer's invoice, upload the MSO for funding. Customer: submits the finance application online (the dealer's branded application on their own website). Lonestar: contacts the customer and submits to lenders, structures the deal, presents protection products, handles digital contracting and funding. ### Benefits - Efficient funding coordination - Multiple lenders in our network - Various financing options - Live deal tracker: dealers see where every deal stands; the board updates on its own as Lonestar works the deal ## Protection products ### Vehicle service contract Extended mechanical coverage that keeps customers rolling. A vehicle service contract protects owners from the high cost of unexpected mechanical failures, from axles and brakes to hydraulics and ramps. Contract lengths of 2, 3, 4 or 5 years, $0 or $100 deductible, transferable, repairs at any licensed facility in the US. ### GAP protection Covers what insurance doesn't after a total loss. After a total loss, insurance pays the trailer's current value, not what the customer still owes. GAP pays the difference so they don't pay for a trailer they no longer have. Coverage matches the loan (typically up to 84 months). ### Tire & wheel protection Road hazard repair or replacement for tires and wheels. Manufacturer tire warranties cover defects, not the nails, potholes and curbs trailers meet every day. This coverage pays full replacement, labor included. ### GPS asset protection Real-time tracking and recovery assistance. A battery-powered tracker that sticks onto the trailer. Owners see its location anytime and get an alert the moment it moves without them. ### Theft protection Cash benefits if the trailer is stolen and not recovered. Financial security when a trailer is stolen and never recovered. The customer gets cash, a credit toward their next trailer from the dealership, and help with their insurance deductible. ## Frequently asked questions ### What is Lonestar Finance Group?
